Having studied Photography throughout college, experiencing all different genres and developing a real love for it I went through lots of training sessions specific to newborns & babies. I now specialise in this area of photography, also photographing bumps, toddlers, children and siblings!
Capturing the most precious images of your amazing bump followed by your beautiful new bundle of joy all the way through to sibling sessions in the years to come, I want to be able to photography this wonderful journey for you and your family to cherish forever.
Preparing for the session…
If you are booking in for a newborn session, I will ask you when baby is due and pencil you in for around a week after this date, I ideally like to book newborns in for when they are 6-14 days old. I then ask you to let me know when they arrive and we can finalise the session date. Before your session I will send you over a ‘Pre-Session Guide’ this will include everything you need to know & what you need to bring with you to the session.
Newborn sessions last anywhere between 1 hour and 4 hours, this completely depends on how well we can get the little monkeys settled and sleepy and when we feel we have got the best images for you.
At the end of the session we will arrange a photo-viewing this is where I will present you with your final images from the session and you can choose which ones you’d like to purchase! I can either travel to you or you can pop back to the studio for the viewing session, which ever is easiest for you!
Ideally I like to get you booked in for your bump session when you are between 30 and 35 weeks. This means we will get the most beautiful bump images for you. They are tailored completely to you and what you’d like to get from the session, I only photograph how you feel comfortable. You can bring clothing with you if you’d like to be photographed in something special, or I do have outfits at the studio you can try on. It’s a very casual and laid back session that normally lasts around 30/45 mins. Feel free to bring any siblings or even dad along with you if he’s feeling photogenic!
